Pet Appreciation Week, or PAW, as it is also called, starts today, June 1st. There are certainly many things to love and appreciate about our feline pals. Fluffy is cute, charismatic, lovable, and affectionate, not to mention highly entertaining. This is a purrfect chance to spoil your kitty a bit! Food Upgrade

A good diet is crucial to your kitty’s health and well-being. Fluffy should have a good, high-quality food, one that is appropriate for her age, weight, and health. (Tip: if you want to give your furry friend a special treat, offer her some plain, cooked fish or chicken, without the skin, bones, or fat.)

New Bed

Cats are nothing if not sleepy. Fluffy can spend a whopping 20 hours a day snoozing, though most kitties somehow scrape by on a ‘mere’ 12 to 16. A new bed will definitely not go unappreciated!

Toys

One surefire way to brighten up Fluffy’s day? Bring her a new toy! You can’t go wrong with classic kitty playthings, such as catnip mice. However, there are also lots of fun modern options you can choose from, such as remote-controlled mice, automated laser pointers, and mechanical ‘snakes’ for your pint-sized panther to hunt.

Cat Furniture

Comfy beds are great, but our feline overlords also enjoy scratching posts, cat towers, and window seats. Working with a tight budget? Fluffy isn’t picky: she’ll probably be just as happy with a shoebox as she would be with an expensive kitty tent.

Playtime!

Playtime is always better with friends! Take time to hold a laser pointer for your furball to pounce on, or dangle a wand toy before her.

Veterinary Appointment

Has it been a while since Fluffy has been to the vet? If so, she’s probably due for an exam. This is very important, as so many issues are best treated if they are caught early.
