Fluffy’s Cutest New Year’s Resolutions

January 1, 2020

Happy New Year! Are you making resolutions this year? If so, your feline buddy will be right there by your side—or on your lap—as you work towards them. If your kitty could make resolutions, what do you think she would want to work on in 2020? A local Washington DC vet lists a few ‘pawsibilities’ below.

Work On Sprinting Skills

Kitties have many adorable quirks. One of the cutest ones is Fluffy’s habit of suddenly sprinting out of the room at full speed, and for no apparent reason. Your frisky furball may want to improve her sprinting times this year.

Improve Pouncing Times

Fluffy may be cute and cuddly, but she’s actually a predator at heart. Your furball is more or less hardwired to want to pounce on things. Help your kitty make this goal by giving her lots of toys, and taking time to play with her regularly.

Sleep

No surprises here. Fluffy will probably sleep through a good chunk of 2020. Your drowsy little pet may try to beat her 2019 napping records this year. Or, she may try to sleep in new places or positions. Make sure that she has plenty of comfy napping spots to choose from!

Smack Things Off Counters

Many of our feline friends have a habit of smacking things off counters and coffee tables. No one is really sure why cats do this. However, it’s probably safe to say that Fluffy will knock a few things onto the floor this year.

Catch That Red Dot

If Fluffy had one main goal this year, it may very well be to finally catch that elusive red dot. Unfortunately, we don’t see a big chance of success here. However, your furry pal can still have fun trying.

Explore Boxes

Cats certainly do love boxes. If you put an empty box down by your kitty, chances are your furball will jump right in, and then look extremely pleased with herself.

Help The Humans

Fluffy is very grateful for the love, care, food, toys, lap space, catnip, and kitty furniture you provide. Your furball may try to reciprocate by assisting you with household tasks, such as changing sheets or wrapping gifts.
